That means even though there may be difference in product name, packaging or price but if they are pharmaceutical equivalents to Brand and expected to have the same clinical effect then they may be used interchangeably I have been on brand and generic Plaquenil for years and recently the mfg. changed to something I've never taken before but is suppose to be a generic Plaquenil. I've had some strange symptoms and now in a huge flare up for the past 10 days of starting it.
